Thoughts on Thursday!

Thoughts for Thursday

Linking up with Nat and Annie today!

1. Prissy's Ponytails: After a long hiatus my Etsy shop is back up and running! You can check out the shop here! There are some fun new prints and I am still adding more to the shop. If you haven't yet tried fold-over elastic hair ties I suggest you do-- I love them because they fit nicely around my wrist and don't give my hair much (if at all) of a ponytail bump so I can take my hair down after work and not have to re-wash again if I don't want to. A quick spin with a curling brush and it's as good as new!
2. The Life-Changing Art of Tidying Up: I recently started reading this book about organizing your entire home and it's pretty amazing. I am not very far in but I was already inspired to clean out two closets in my house and get rid of all of the things that don't bring me joy. I ended up with two trash bags filled with stuff and it is a great feeling! Here is the description from Amazon:
Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?

Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you’ll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever. The KonMari Method, with its revolutionary category-by-category system, leads to lasting results. In fact, none of Kondo’s clients have lapsed (and she still has a three-month waiting list).

With detailed guidance for determining which items in your house “spark joy” (and which don’t), this international bestseller featuring Tokyo’s newest lifestyle phenomenon will help you clear your clutter and enjoy the unique magic of a tidy home—and the calm, motivated mindset it can inspire.
