Wish List Wednesday

Welcome to Wish List Wednesday! As I near the end of this pregnancy and the cold snap here in the Mid-Atlantic is finally moving on (hopefully), I'm definitely thinking about clothes for post-baby. I'm so excited to be able to wear regular clothes again (albeit nursing-friendly)! Here are some items (not just clothes) that are on my wish list. What's on yours?

capri swing sweatshirt

How cute is this sweatshirt? Every other shirt/sweater in my closet is striped but I just love them so much! I'm also partial to swing tops and will continue to be post-baby because they hide the aftermath! Coming in under $100, this sweatshirt is a winner in my book.

Main Image - Socialite Floral PJ Shirt

This is a bit out of my comfort zone but I LOVE it for some reason! Tucked into a pair of skinny jeans with heels, this would be such a cute outfit. I like the floral print and it also looks super comfortable.

Nike LunarEpic Low Flyknit 2 Women's Running Shoe

I've been casually looking for a pair of gray sneakers. All the sneakers I own are either loud and colorful or they're all black! I love that the tongue is a part of the shoe and not separate, I've had issues with the tongue of sneakers favoring one side and it's not comfortable.

Um, these are over the top and I love them! On sale for $79 down from $326 makes these a steal!

Image of Karen Walker Women's Super Spaceship Sunglasses

Have to give a mention to these, too. These are much more of a classic look and are also on sale for $79 down from $315! I have been wanting a pair of Karen Walker sunglasses for quite sometime so I think I might add these to my cart!

PAIR

At this point, I'm hopeful these are an unnecessary purchase but the truth is Maryland gets cold weather and we get snow not infrequently. The past few years, I've been wearing rain boots as snow boots and the fact of the matter is, they just don't work. They aren't tall enough and they definitely aren't warm enough. These will probably stay on my wish list until the end of this year and I'll revisit them in the fall.

We made it to the halfway point in the week, y'all! Have a great Wednesday!

Casual Maternity Style

coat // tee // jeans// sneakers (old-linked similar pair)

I took these photos less than 2 weeks ago - it was cold. Probably in the high 20s. I was freezing but now I'd do just about anything for it to be in the high 20s (supposed to get there today but also there is a chance of freezing rain this afternoon so WTF). There's hope for tomorrow though (high of 44 degrees) and I feel like everyone in this city is going to be outside in short sleeves!

I have been living in easy tee shirts (with several layers, ha) and my favorite maternity jeans this pregnancy. Old Navy has been my go to for tee shirts and I am loving this emerald green coat my mom gave me for Christmas. The color is gorgeous and I can still zip it up which means it's the only coat I can wear right now - no complaints there!  I have little desire to get dressed up and even in an outfit like this, at the end of the day, I am so ready to change into pajamas. My 3rd trimester has absolutely flown by and I can't believe we are a mere six weeks away from meeting this little guy! I'm so looking forward to his arrival and feeling much more excited than nervous about adding another baby to our crew!

I just realized we are officially one week into 2018! Hope your year is off to a great start!

Thoughts for Thursday: Last One for 2017!

1. Christmas certainly sped by but I'm not sure I've ever said to myself, "gee, that Christmas went way too slow". With a toddler that doesn't slow down and splitting the day between two families it was a whirlwind but also wonderful.
2. I'm a scrooge and actually took down what little Christmas decor (no Christmas tree makes this pretty easy) we had up on Saturday morning, knowing we wouldn't be home until after Christmas was over. I'm not gonna lie, it felt good to come home to a less-cluttered house.
3. I'm looking forward to 2018. I have lots of big goals for this upcoming year - the first one being to have a baby haha! It's going to be a big year for our little family and we have so much to look forward to in 2018. I purchased the  2018 PowerSheets form Lara Casey at Cultivate What Matters and I'm hoping it will help me stay on track this upcoming year. I need all the help I can get, follow through is NOT my strong suit.
4. We are having a cold snap here in Maryland and per usual, I'm drawn to all things comfortable and warm. I can only zipper one jacket I own over my bump so I'm all about the layers. Lots of after-Christmas sales going on so I snagged this  sweatshirt below and although it has a holiday vibe, I plan to wear it all winter long! I snagged  this sweatshirt , too (also on sale)!

5. Speaking of comfy and cozy, how cute is this  pullover from Southern Tide? It's on sale for $69 and I am so tempted to buy it but the truth is I own quite a few pullovers and a couple that look very similar to this one. Sigh.

6. We are in the market for a new comforter/duvet cover for our bed. Our dog sleeps with us at night and I stupidly bought an all-white comforter a couple of years back. Needless to say, it is in pretty poor shape plus it has a ruffle at the top that drives my husband batty. I recently purchased  monogrammed shams and  new sheets from Pottery Barn and while our bed looks much better, they also highlight how badly we need a new comforter. I have my heart set on the  Oxford Stripe Duvet from Serena and Lily, it's so pretty and bright and I think it will bring new life to our master bedroom.  I also think this  duvet is beautiful and it's on sale!

That's it for me, hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Five on Friday!

Linking up with April, Christina, and Natasha today!

Four things I am loving/thinking about/wanting on this (cold) Friday in the mid-Atlantic:

1. Heated Blanket: Did anyone else have a heated blanket on their bed as a kid?  It had a little remote thing attached to it so you could turn it on and off. We had them and I loved it but somewhere along the way we stopped using them and I never got another one as an adult. When I was putting new sheets on my bed last night, I was thinking about how cold my sheets are when I get in bed at night and I remembered heated blanket! The problem is is that my husband is basically a heater and would probably hate the idea of putting one on our bed.  I found this  one on Amazon so I might try convincing the husband to give it a try.

2. Dry winter skin: My skin is so unbelievably dry this winter and it is driving me batty. I don't know if being pregnant has anything to do with it but it seems worse this winter than in previous winters. We have a humidifier going in our bedroom and I've been alternating between my trusted   Egyptian Magic cream and  Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask for my face and while I'm seeing some improvement it still looks pretty bad. My hands are even worse and nothing seems to be working on them!

3. Christmas Home Tours: We live in 1500 square feet and pretty much every inch of our space downstairs has been taken over by a toddler and his "stuff" so sadly we don't have a Christmas tree up  (we actually haven't had one for 3 years) and have minimal Christmas decor out this year. Thus, I am loving all the Christmas home tours people have been posting the last few weeks. I am living vicariously through all of you with gorgeously decorated homes! Hopefully 2018 will see us moving into a bigger house that allows for a Christmas tree and decorations but until then I'll be casually stalking Christmas home tours!

4. Christmas Movies: I love, love, love cheesy made-for-tv Christmas movies! They are the absolute best. My husband has been out of town a lot recently so I've gotten to watch a few of my favorites: The 12 Dates of Christmas, Holidaze, and Christmas Cupid. I'm thinking about watching A Christmas Prince on Netflix, has anyone seen it? What are your favorites? Together, G and I will watch Home Alone and Four Christmases.

Happy Friday, friends! Hard to believe Christmas Eve is NEXT weekend!

Thoughts for Thursday!

A few weeks ago, I  wrote about the things we are considering buying for baby #2 and today I'm sharing what I'm considering purchasing (or have purchased) for myself to make it through those postpartum months!

1. Blanqi Highwaist Postpartum & Nursing Support Leggings: I scored two pairs of these postpartum leggings for the price of one during  Blanqi's Black Friday sale. Love that they are dual purpose and come up to the bra line for discreet nursing but also offer some compression to help conceal those postpartum lumps and bumps.

2. Rosie Pope Nurse & Pump Underwire Bra: Um, I changed into a pumping bra every single time I pumped when I was nursing my first son and it was a pain in the ass. This genius bra by former Bravo star/maternity guru Rosie Pope fixes that issue. One snap turns the bra into a nursing bra and the second snap turns the bra into a pumping bra, so convenient!

3. Lamaze Maternity Nursing Pajama Set: I wore a nursing tank with an open cardigan as pajamas the first time around which was fine but could often be bulky or too hot. This time around, I'd like to get some nursing pajamas. These are cute and could definitely be worn post-nursing.

4. Ugg Alena Suede Slipper Bootie: Because it will be February and I'll be snuggled up with a newborn, cozy slippers are a must. I'm digging the unexpected pinkish-red color and they are on sale!  They also come in chestnut and black

5. Threshold Fuzzy Blanket: Again, because it will be February and it will be cold! I saw this blanket in Target last week and I'm still unsure why I didn't buy it! It is so, so soft and cozy. It was on sale then and is even cheaper now!
